Firearms purchase terms
Terms for ordering a Staccato 2011 pistol online and transferring it through a federal firearms licensee.
Option 1: visit a certified retail partner
We work closely with certified Staccato 2011 dealers across the United States. These dealers are knowledgeable of our full product line, and many have shooting ranges so you can try a Staccato 2011 before you purchase one. If a dealer does not have your preferred model in stock, the dealer can place an order with Staccato.
Option 2: order online
You may order a Staccato 2011 online from a pistol’s product page. On select models, you may also expedite an order for an additional fee. Orders are paid in full and pistols are built to order.
During checkout, you will choose a federal firearms licensed dealer (FFL) for delivery and transfer, either by selecting a Staccato certified dealer or providing a copy of an independent dealer’s FFL certificate.
When your purchased pistol arrives at your selected FFL, you must meet all federal, state, and local laws for transfer. Law enforcement, military, and first responders may be eligible for Heroes Program pricing; identity verification is part of checkout.
Purchase terms for online firearm orders
Federal law requires all pistols ordered from and purchased on Staccato2011.com to be shipped to a federal firearms licensed dealer in your state of residence to be transferred to you.
You must select a dealer in your state of residence. If you select a Staccato certified dealer, the dealer will transfer your pistol and may charge an additional transfer fee. If you choose an independent FFL, you must provide a copy of its FFL license during checkout and arrange for that dealer to receive the pistol and collect any transfer fee.
The person purchasing the pistol through this website must be the actual purchaser who will complete Form 4473 at the dealer and pass a National Instant Criminal Background Check (NICS). Federal law does not allow another person to pick up the firearm and complete Form 4473.
All pistol sales are final. Pistols may not be returned for a refund or exchange. Before ordering, ensure that you are legally permitted to purchase and possess the pistol under federal, state, and local law, and that you have any required licenses or permits.
If the pistol cannot be transferred to you at an FFL, your online payment will be refunded minus a twenty percent (20%) restocking fee and the cost of return shipping.
At present, Staccato does not ship firearms to the District of Columbia or Massachusetts, except for law enforcement officers. Pistols shipped to states with magazine capacity restrictions will have ten-round magazines.
Form 4473
Before transfer, the dealer will require you to complete Form 4473 and answer, under penalty of perjury, whether any prohibiting condition applies, including felony indictment or conviction, fugitive status, unlawful controlled-substance use, adjudication as a mental defective or commitment to a mental institution, dishonorable discharge, a qualifying restraining order, renunciation of United States citizenship, or unlawful presence in the United States.
You must be able to answer “no” to the prohibiting questions for the dealer to legally transfer the pistol. Additional requirements apply if you are an alien admitted under a non-immigrant visa. If you do not know whether you can answer “no,” consult an attorney before purchasing.
The dealer will not transfer the pistol if your answers indicate a federal prohibition, your NICS check is denied, or the dealer has reasonable cause to believe federal or state law prohibits the transfer. If the dealer cannot transfer the pistol, you can request that it be shipped back to Staccato. Upon receipt and inspection, Staccato will refund the purchase price minus a 20% restocking fee and return shipping.
By placing an online pistol order, you acknowledge that:
- You are the actual purchaser of the pistol.
- You are legally eligible to purchase and possess the pistol under federal, state, and local law.
- The pistol is legal for you to purchase and possess under state and local law.
- You possess any required licenses or permits.
- The sale is final and the pistol may not be returned for a refund or exchange.
- If the dealer cannot transfer the pistol, a 20% restocking fee applies in addition to return shipping.
